Deeply Mourning the Passing of Zhang Sujing (Kathy Chang)

Last Sunday, I was devastated to hear of Sujing’s passing. This is the first time in my life that I have experienced such profound grief. When my late father passed away, I was by his side. At that time, what I felt was a sense of peace, as though he was peacefully journeying to a blessed realm, and I did not feel sorrow. This time, however, I am filled with profound sadness and reluctance to let her go, because I was simply not prepared for her to leave us so suddenly.

Among my disciples, Sujing was one of the most diligent, conscientious, dedicated, and relentless in her pursuit of excellence. She carried a compassionate heart and practiced medicine with kindness and integrity. She always took her responsibilities seriously, demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her profession, and possessed a sincere desire to help others.

This spirit of compassion, dedication, and integrity embodies the true character of a healer and is worthy of being followed and emulated by all practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Although Sujing has departed from this world, her spirit and legacy will live on. She will forever remain in our hearts.

May her merits be complete, and may she rest peacefully in Heaven.
